Since Andrew-David came in, we’ve been pretty busy working on the “seeeeeecrrettttt project” as well as on Dale N’ Peakot. Although, since we’ve just reached 450 Facebook fans, you still deserve a little preview from DnP, so here it is! As you can see, this one is a new flying enemy! What do you think? Like it? Hate it? Just can’t wait to fight it? Tell us and leave a comment! :]

Also, we’d like you to tell us if you’d prefer a Dale N’ Peakot preview for the next 50 fans, or if you’d like to see some stuff related to the “seeeeecccrrreeetttt project!!” ?

The Juicy team gets bigger!

We’re pretty proud to announce that Juicy Beast Studio has now 5 employees! Welcome to Andrew-David!

He is going to be in charge of something we haven’t talked about yet… Remember that “something big is happening in the studio…”? Well, Andrew-David is a part of it. You might think that a new employee itself is a pretty “big thing”, but not in our case!

All we can say for now is that the full version of Dale n’ Peakot is going to be a part of the “big thing” we’re working on. In other words, DnP will be directly included in this bigger project we’re doing. Of course, you can still try to guess what it’ll be, but we doubt you’ll figure it out before we announce it *evil laugh*

We’ll do our best to bring you previews and sneak peeks of that “big thing” as soon as possible, but you must know that we’re developing it at the same time as DnP, so it might take a little bit of time :]

Finally, as a little reminder, don’t forget to become a Juicy Beast fan on Facebook if you want to see more previews of Dale n’ Peakot as well as that new thing we’re working on (hopefully soon enough)!!!

Let’s cut to the chase and give you what you’re all here for… :] First, you can see the brand new logo for Dale & Peakot! Right under it, you can see a new level featuring [probably] the creepiest flies you’ll ever see! Don’t they look like they want to stick to your head and eat your brain out??? Blehhhhhh!

For those who asked for a boss on Facebook, we know we said that we would show a new boss this time, but we think it would be better if we wait a little bit more before reveling them. If you promise not to throw tomatoes at us, we promise that you’ll see the brand new, totally awesome title screen before the release!

350 fans = New sneak peek!

You know what? We love you guys! :] We’re probably as exited to post new stuff as you are to see them! So here’s your new sneak peek of Dale & Peakot! This one is a brand new foe from the Icy Mountain region you already saw on the blog. So far, we’re calling him the Coyeti (Coyote + Yeti = Coyeti)… If you have a better name for it, just shoot! :] Here you go:

Also, as you may have read on our FB page last week, we announced that there’s something big happening in our studio. Something bigger than the complete version of Dale & Peakot…! You can try and guess what it is, but we’re sure you won’t find it… ;] (Hint: it has nothing to do with other companies or studios, so no… we aren’t selling any games to EA or Ubisoft ;] ). We’ll tell you more on this in a couple of weeks :]

300 fans reached + New fan art!

As some of you may have noticed, we just reached 300 fans on Facebook! Just like we did last week, we now give you another small preview of Dale & Peakot (the complete version). This time, you can see Peakot’s full body armor. Is this the final set? What are these new parts for? What will I be able to do with them? Ah, who know! (actually, we do…) But you’ll only know it once you’ll play it :]

Once again, we promise to give you another sneak peek of DnP if we can get another 50 fans (which means 350, in that case). We know you can do it :] You’ve already proved it twice so far! Just so you know it’s easy to gather more fans: If every single fan invite only ONE other friend, it will actually double the total number of fans!! Which means that we could pass from 300 to 600 fans in just a fews day. We know you can easily gather 50 more fans :]

Also, here are a couple of brand new, awesome fan art!!! The first one (on the left) is from Frédérik Mathieu, the next one is from Etienne Carpentier, and finally, the last one (the Beast!) is from Darkspyre Gardian! Thanks guys for your awesooooome art :] We LOVE it!

What a nice way to start the week! First thing we know, we got 250 fans on Facebook :] You did it! Now, just like we said we would do, we’ll start posting previews and sneak peeks of Dale & Peakot (the complete version) from now on. Every time we’ll get another 50 fans on facebook, we’ll release a new preview! Now don’t panic, that shouldn’t be a problem… You guys managed to push our fans number from 160 to 250 in exactly a week. That’s almost 100 per week! Knowing that, you should be able to get a new preview at least each week (even 2 if you push hard enough). Alright… enough blabla! Here’s a sneak peek of one of the new levels. This one’s taking place in the frosty, icy mountains surrounding Farmina. Any comments, suggestions, impressions? :]

On top of that, we also received new fan art to put in our fan art album! Check it out :] (The last on the right is from Magalie Paquet, go check her website!!!)

Woa! Here’s a pretty awesome fan art wallpaper for you guys to put on your monitor! This piece of art is from mister Thomas Chrétien, who’s actually J-P’s roommate!!! As you know, we now have a brand new Facebook page and we’re pretty happy to see we already have 160 fans!! You also know what we’re working on the complete version of Dale & Peakot and that we’re about to release some previews and sneak peeks of it… All of this gave us a little idea: how about combining these 2 awesome “events” to make another great one out of it!? We know you want to see more of DnP, and you know we want more of you as fans on Facebook… Well, here’s a deal for you guys: As soon as we reach 250 fans on Facebook, we’ll start releasing previews of Dale & Peakot on the blog!! Isn’t it great!? =D To set things in motion, you can sign up on Facebook if you’re not already a member, or simply tell your friends to become fan! :]

Moreover, we recently received some awesome fan art from a fan of ours, András Csikós! We think that’s totally awesome and we’d looooove getting more juicy fan art from you guys!! Obviously, we ended up creating a “fan art” album on our Facebook page, so if you ever send us some of your art, you’ll end up on both the blog and our fan art album :]

Finally, we’ve recently updated our blog with something a bit special… A lot of you are emailing us about the code for DnP’s secret chest, but now that we took the code generator away (Yeah, that’s right! No more codegen!), you’ll have to search a bit on our blog to find the code! Mouahahha *evil laugh* … But seriously, we can tell you it’s not that hard to find… Actually it’s pretty easy ;]

If you had a great time playing Dale & Peakot and/or Gobtron, it’s possible for you to nominate them to “The Mochis Award Show 2009“! Of course, we did it ourselves, but if you liked our games enough to do so, please go ahead! :] Simply click on the “Nominate Games” button, and place our games in the right categories before you hit submit!

Just like we said in our previous post about Dale & Peakot being nominated for the “best plateformer of 2009” on JayIsGames, if we win any awards like The Mochis or JayIsGame’s, we’ll consider giving away early accesses to DnP’s complete version!! DNP nominated for best plateformer of 2009

We just found out that Dale & Peakot is in nomination for best web plateformer of 2009 on JayIsGames.com! We think it’s totally awesome to be part of this selection and would appreciate it so much if you’d vote for us! Also, it says on the site that “…You can vote for one game in each category, and once each day during the voting period…“.
